HOMEWORK POLICY

The homework material will be work that has been covered or will be covered in class. Generally, the homework will be the same weekly format.

  1. Fifteen minutes of reading must be done nightly. In the planner, initial and write the number of minutes your child has read for the current night. This is very important. This is your child’s reading log. This confirms your child has done the reading homework assignment.
  2. It will have a combination of two or three of the follow subject areas: Religion, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies.

Homework is given out on Friday and is due back the NEXT Friday. Example: Homework distributed on 9/2 is due back 9/9. Please initial your student’s homework. You may ‘help’ your child with the homework but you many not do it for them.

If your child will not be in school on Friday, the homework is due on that Thursday. Since this is a packet, there is enough time to finish the work. You will be given the next week’s homework on Thursday. I will also have the homework posted on our website.

Homework is considered late if not returned on Friday. Late homework will not be accepted after Monday unless previous arrangements have been discussed with me. Please contact me if you require more time to complete the homework assignments.

If there are any questions regarding the homework assignments, ask immediately. Do not wait until the due date.
